Hellboy Harpies

It has been a challenge for quite a while to create a head silhouette with a wide mouth that is still functional and somewhat evolutionarily benefitial. A joint like that just doesnt work well, yet I needed to make that shape work. Then I got it- cave scorpions! Now it makes sense.Then my AD came with the idea that, since that is a demon it shouldnt really feed, being unnatural and all, it would rather simply kill and move to the next victim. Woe and behold -another helicoprion jaw structure, this time the modern interpretation though. Everything after the Permian extinction is decadence.
